All natural. Mt. Vikos Gigandes are flavorful beans made from an old family recipe. The long slow cooking of the beans and vegetables in olive oil sweetens and mellows the dish. Fresh dill and spices are used to flavor these beans. No sugar or starches are used.
Gigandes are very large beans grown only in the Kastoria region of northern Greece. Prepared gigandes with sauce are found in tavernas and village gatherings in courtyards throughout mainland Greece and the Greek islands. Mt. Vikos Gigandes are fully cooked, and ready to eat. Delicious hot, warm or at room temperature, they can be served as an appetizer or as a side dish with all types of entrees.
